When choosing from the vast array of cargo trailers available, it is important to consider several key points, most importantly what type of cargo you are most likely to haul. Both open and enclosed trailers can be preferable depending on the type of cargo you are hauling.
Another consideration when choosing cargo trailers is the towing capacity of your tow vehicle. Be sure to think about the weight of your fully-loaded trailer when deciding which is best suited for your tow vehicle. Knowing the precise weight of any and all cargo you plan to carry can help narrow the choices.
Cargo trailers come in many different sizes and with a different number of axles. A trailer with a tandem axle can be most suited for hauling heavier loads. A single axle trailer can be used for both light and medium haul loads.
